I might have forgotten to post this after “Debrief and Delays” as promised, but here it is…
The biggest thing that stood out with our extra time in Georgia was the church we went to on Sunday evening! They were so kind in their prayers for our mission and showing how powerful prayer is! The service was on healing and God’s will, which happened to be right after my conversation with Brian about that topic. My friend, Kailey, had bad vertigo before going into the service and walked out of there healed of it. She was nervous to go on the plane because of it but ended up having no issues on the plane or the car rides which is huge for her! Kailey and I were praying with one of the staff and she asked us if we had been baptized with the Holy Spirit. ( which is a prayer not a water baptism as we had thought) I personally didn’t know the difference between regular Baptist and what she had mentioned. She ended up doing so and we learned more about that in Matthew later! One big thing this church does is water baptism and prayer which they explained the reasoning behind in their service. Kailey ended up getting water baptized, as well, for the purpose of going deeper in her relationship with God and more reasons you can read about in her blog! I was planning on getting in the water as moral support, as she had requested, but after a conversation with one of our leaders, I ended up getting baptized as well! We prayed over the fears I still have stepping into this new season of life, breaking off anything not from God, and boldness for this mission. OK now this is one of the craziest parts that I still almost have a hard time believing myself. While the pastor was baptizing me He asked the Lord to give me dreams and visions. Personally I didn’t remember him saying that until I was telling some friends about this very vivid dream I had the night after the baptism.
This was the dream…. I was in an apartment with an upstairs room and helping someone paint it. The whole apartment was dark blue. We started with the kitchen and painted it all lime green. Next we moved to this open room on the left and painted it lime green. Finally, we moved to the room on the right and for this room, one wall was already done. For the wall we were working on next, the dark blue had patterns of clouds and other things with white paint. I said we need to put white over the wall before doing green, so I told my friend, Kailey, and showed her how to do so on a sample paint sheet. There was some other random things happening in between but this dream ended with one of our guy leaders pulling up with his team (on AIM base) while my team was walking down the road. He told us we all need to go for a walk and we ended up doing so in the woods we lived next to on base.
Right when I woke up, it ended up being one of the most clear times I’ve ever heard to Lord speak. I just knew this meant something, and even though we got back late the night before and it was 5am, I couldn’t go back to sleep. I went for a walk and recorded the dream. God so clearly wanted me to tell this leader in the dream about this dream He gave me. This was what he said about it…. Dark blue means Holy Spirit, white means redemption, and green means righteousness/ holy living. Essentially he says he thinks it means the Holy Spirit ( blue) will walk me through a redemption (white) into holy living (Green) and afterwards, I will walk my team through that redemption as well, followed by walking his team through that same redemption. It will take patience for God to reveal more to me and in the meantime I’m trying not to overthink it, as only God knows the full meaning behind this. I’m excited to see how that all plays out though.
Thanks for reading 🙂
Dear Ceciley,
It is so neat to hear about the dream the Lord gave you. There are so many recorded examples in the Bible of God using dreams to communicate to people. My favorite example is Joseph. God used a series of dreams to speak to Joseph and shortly after he was sold into slavery! I am sure during the following years Joseph didn’t have a clear understanding what his original dreams really meant. God gave him the gift to interpret other peoples dreams and eventually used that gift to elevate Joseph to become second in command of Egypt! When Joseph revealed him selves to his brothers and started crying I wonder if part of his emotions came from the final realization and total understanding of what his original dreams meant. It is so neat to see how the different ways the Lord is choosing to revealing Himself to you as you open your heart up to Him. We keep praying for you daily.
Love mom and dad.
Thank you! I love that one too! Love and miss you!
Ceciley , how great it was chatting with you today!!! How awesome is the technology that we have today. God is so good to provide such a thing for us to be able to communicate. Your mom helped me with the blog so I can follow your postings on a regular basis. How sweet😃🙏🙏🙏. Love you, Grampa
I always love talking to you! Amen, I’m so grateful you can read and follow along this journey!
Ceciley, What a fascinating blog you shared with us regarding your dream and its interpretation. I agree with your dad‘s reply that there are a number of such experiences in the Bible. Many people want to “shortchange” the essence of such experiences. However, I personally believe that the Bible always has the final answer to the truth of this matter. Thanks again for sharing and for being open to God‘s will in your life. You are so very special in giving of yourself as the Lord directs you.
Love you so much, Grampa
